Are you thinking of something you are looking forward to?

Ok, I admit it…..I am a Gleester.

I find the show, Glee entertaining, creative and, often inspiring.

In the most recent episode, here are some lines I thought were very poignant:

“I want you to promise me no matter how depressed you get; no matter how hopeless and alone you feel, you’ll try your best to imagine all the amazing experiences you have ahead of you.”

Sometimes, it is easy to want to give up. Don’t! Think of all you would miss out on?

What big things are you looking forward to? Go for it!

Are you living on purpose?

A family friend shared with me some time ago that he reminds himself often that our time right now is not a dress rehearsal.

I think about that often in the actions I take and the choices I make.

Knowing that, what would you do differently?

This is our purpose: to make as meaningful as possible this life that has been bestowed upon us; to live in such a way that we may be proud of ourselves; to act in such a way that some part of us lives on. – Oswald Spengler

Let me know your thoughts on this!

What if you embraced that each situation you have encountered has led you to now?

“Your journey has molded you for the greater good, and it was exactly what it needed to be. Don’t think that you’ve lost time. It took each and every situation you have encountered to bring you to the now. And now is right on time.”   - Asha Tyson

I noticed that a dear friend and colleague of mine, Jihan, posted the quote above on Facebook and I had been thinking earlier today how I can now see that each experience I have had was needed for me to be where I am right now. What gratitude I have for that awareness.

At the time, some of those were painful and/or tough to deal with but, I wouldn’t be living the amazing fulfilling life I am now. I also would never have had the patience, wisdom and compassion gained through those experiences.

Is there an area of your life that if you embraced this, you would have a different perspective and more peace?

I would love to know about it.
