Would you rather say “I did it and failed” or “Would have, could have, should have?”

I recently saw an interview Oprah did with Jon Bon Jovi and he said he wanted to be a guy that gave it his best shot and go after his dream instead of never going for it.

Knowing that we may fail if we pursue a dream is tough. However, when you think about the alternative, is that any better?

For me, I will keep going after my dreams. As they continue to come to fruition, it motivates me to climb even higher mountains.

What about you? Do you believe in yourself? Do you have the determination to strive for what you want?

Are you thinking of something you are looking forward to?

Ok, I admit it…..I am a Gleester.

I find the show, Glee entertaining, creative and, often inspiring.

In the most recent episode, here are some lines I thought were very poignant:

“I want you to promise me no matter how depressed you get; no matter how hopeless and alone you feel, you’ll try your best to imagine all the amazing experiences you have ahead of you.”

Sometimes, it is easy to want to give up. Don’t! Think of all you would miss out on?

What big things are you looking forward to? Go for it!

What can you do right now to nurture yourself?

Nurturing is important in achieving balance, or as I now say harmony in your life….time alone/time with others and between work and play.

There are times where I know things have gotten out of whack and that becomes a reminder that I need to step back and engage in some self care to regain my equilibrium. When I take this time it refills my energy, compassion and kindness, and I am happier, more fulfilled and productive in my life.

Nurturing ourselves is personal so what nurtures me may not be the same for you.

If you are not sure, ask yourself, “What can I do right now that would feel good?”

Is it:

  • Taking a walk?
  • Calling a friend?
  • Taking a few deep breaths?
You may need to experiment. Remember, it doesn’t have to be going to a spa for a week…although I am sure that would be fabulous! It truly can be as simple as taking 5 minutes to breath or meditate. In fact, just yesterday, a friend and I took 5 minutes to meditate together over the phone and I couldn’t believe how much better I felt afterwords.
Take time to nurture YOU on a regular basis. I know you will feel the difference!
I would love to know how it goes for you!
